The so-called compliment: “You don’t look sick.” Because when you say that, what I actually hear is, “You don’t fit my idea of disabled.” It’s not kind, it’s erasure. Invisible and dynamic disabilities exist. Pain, fatigue, sensory overload, recovery time, they’re real even if you can’t see them. Doctors doubt us. Employers ignore us. Strangers jud
