MICHIGAN CITY — A man was shot and killed in what police say was a homicide at a Michigan City gas station early Saturday. Police are still searching for the person responsible.

Dyer resident Michael Anthony Valdez, 47, was confirmed Sunday morning by the Lake County Coroner's Office as the deceased subject in a single-vehicle crash in Hammond.
