Discord for Android adds functionality which includes temporary muting, slash commands and marking individual messages as unread. The update is currently rolling out through the Google Play Store.

While it started as an app primarily used for gamers to communicate via VoIP, Discord has since grown to be used worldwide by many organizations and social groups to connect and share information.

Over the last five or so years, Discord has consistently shown that it is the instant messaging platform for not only gamers but anyone looking to message, video chat, or stream with friends online.
